I so know where you're at. I have been there so many times. Every time I read deployment blogs I remember the feelings so clearly. All I can say is hang on and keep doing what you're doing. Every deployment was different - I either had work or trips planned or a hobby to keep me busy (and by the third one, a toddler). Breaking the deployment into pieces by having trips and visits and other such "events" planned really does help keep you plodding forward. A series of mini-countdowns, really.

You're doing a great job of hanging in there. I know it isn't easy.


Chris..What a special treat for Dave...I can't imagine how hard this is for you.. I admire your positive energy so much..and keep you and Dave in my prayers everyday. Other things seem so meaningless in comparison to what you and Dave are going through.
